Shapes

This week we want to explore the idea of 'shape'. Look around you! You will see so many shapes in your house and in the outside world. Round shapes, long shapes, pointy shapes, flat shapes. Children use shapes all the time for building and drawing and collaging, even your food is different shapes! It's fun to learn some of the names for these shapes and a really good skill to learn to recognise them in everyday objects, because of that we are reading a story called "What is Round?". See if you can find the round circle shapes on each page while you're looking at the book, or maybe even find some of these shapes in your own house!
